Why Ride the Cycle of Hope

Cycle of Hope is less than a week away and we have so many things to be excited for! As we prepare for this premier event, we want to share with you 5 things you can expect on November 3rd!

  1. Swag and medals for all riders!
That’s right! We are giving all participants t-shirts and other goodies to help them get through the course. Plus a commemorative medal of accomplishment after crossing the finish line. Riders can also visit all the different tents passing out additional swag and gear before and after their ride.
  2. 5 courses to choose from!
There is something for everyone at Cycle of Hope! The 5 courses allow all riders to find the scenic route that best fits their level of experience. The 5 courses include the Century, Metric Century, 32-Mile, 17-Mile, and Kids Ride. No bike? No problem! Our friends at Sports Basement are giving Cycle of Hope participants 20% bike rentals! Just use the code “hope20” at checkout.
  3. Live music at every turn!
Each water station will feature live music, snacks, and GU energy gels for riders to enjoy while they take a break. Dance around, stretch your legs, grab a bite, and refuel for the road ahead. While on the course, riders will have SAG to help service any minor issues that arise.
  4. A finish line with a beer garden and a good time!
We’ll be ready to celebrate every participant at the finish line! With a beer garden celebration, kids’ activity area, photo booth, and live music be ready to share your victory dance with your friends and family.
  5. Building community with our neighbors.
Habitat builds houses but gathering as a community and supporting each other is what builds a home. As we all ride through the different courses, enjoying the good food, music, and each other’s company, we’re also paving a way for our neighbors to overcome one of the Bay Area’s biggest obstacles – affordable homeownership. And although we’ll be riding different courses, we all start and end at the same place, together.
