The other day, I sat with a Habitat homeowner who's watched a sapling, planted when she helped build her home, grow into a tree whose branches shade the second-floor window of her favorite room. And along with that sapling, she's grown energetic children into self-actualized adults, a new-earned degree into a long career full of accomplishments, and a whole lot more besides.
I ride Cycle of Hope because for that story, I know a hundred more, stories of people building dreams on the solid foundation of affordable homeownership. I ride because I'd like to help write thousands more stories like it.
